EAST CLEVELAND -- An alleged serial killer was briefly back in court Tuesday morning for a pretrial hearing.

Once in court, Michael Madison waived his right to a speedy trial.

The judge also granted a motion that permits Madison to wear civilian clothes at all future court proceedings.

Madison, 35, is accused of killing three women -- Shetisha Sheeley, Angela H. Deskins and Shirellda Terry -- whose bodies were found wrapped in plastic within the same East Cleveland neighborhood last month.

Madison faces multiple charges, including aggravated murder, kidnapping and gross abuse of a corpse. He has pleaded not guilty.

He remains jailed on $6 million bond.

Prosecutors have yet to announce whether or not they will seek the death penalty.
