Bus traveling from New York City to Cleveland crashes

UNION COUNTY, PA -- A Greyhound bus carrying passengers from New York City to Cleveland has crashed, killing one person.

The wreck happened along Interstate 80 West Bound in White Deer Township, Pennsylvania around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police say the charter bus and a tractor trailer collided. One person has been killed and 49 others have been injured. They were taken to area hospitals.

Geisinger Media (@GeisingerMedia) reports on Twitter that 17 patients have been brought in to that hospital.  Of that number, four are in critical conditions, two are in serious condition and 11 are listed in fair condition. 

Greyhound Lines are asking for anyone who believes their family members may have been involved in the crash should contact them at 1-800-972-4583.
