BEREA, Ohio -- Two key defenders were added to the Browns' injury report Thursday and Cleveland's top pick remains limited in practice.
LB Jabaal Sheard and CB Buster Skrine were added to the injury report. Meanwhile, LB Barkevious Mingo remained limited in practice coming back from that bruised lung injury suffered in the preseason. He only participated in non-contact drills.
Sheard (illness) fully participated in practice and should be fine to play Sunday.
Sheard is making the conversion from defensive end to outside linebacker this year in Defensive Coordinator Ray Horton's 3-4 defense. Sheard figures to be key piece of the puzzle, starting opposite Paul Kruger.
CB Buster Skrine's (shoulder) status for Sunday remains uncertain.
Skrine is the starting cornerback opposite Joe Haden and is a key component of the secondary. If he can't go, either rookie Leon McFadden or Chris Owens, veteran from the Falcons, would likely be pressed into starting duty.
Coaches will likely make a call on Mingo and Skrine Friday, but Mingo is not likely to play Sunday.
