CLEVELAND -- Police say they have ended the standoff with the suspect in the homicide of the person found in an East Cleveland garage earlier today.
Police tell Channel 3's AJ Ross that the standoff was at Chickasaw Avenue and East 197th Street near the City of Euclid border.
She says police say Euclid police got a call to assist around 4:30 p.m. and a police negotiator on a bullhorn kept asking a man named "Michael" to come out of a home on Chickasaw Avenue.
Police arrested Michael Madison, 35.
About noon Friday, East Cleveland detectives found a decomposing body inside a garage on Shaw and Hayden avenues.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has not yet identified the person because the body was badly decomposed. They do know the body was of smaller stature, possibly a female.
Police used warrants to search the garage and the apartment across the alley, both of which are rented by Madison.
A car which he had access to was also towed from the scene.
