Black Lab stolen from adoption event

MACEDONIA -- Volunteers for Canine Lifeline say one of their dogs were stolen Saturday.

The 2-year-old black lab named Raya was stolen out of her crate at the PETCO store on Aurora Road.

Volunteers say they saw two girls acting suspicious while they filled out out paper work before the dog was noticed missing. 

The girls are described as Caucasian in their early 20's. Both have a slender build.  One of the women has long straight dark hair, a tattoo on her upper left arm and was last seen wearing a green or camo hat. The other girl had short blonde hair with a nose ring. She was last seen wearing a cream colored tank top that had a lacy back. 

Raya is micro-chipped. 

If you have any information on who took Raya you are asked to contact the Macedonia Police Department.
