Victor Martinez had a pair of doubles and sparked a four-run rally in the third inning Friday night as the Detroit Tigers continued their dominance of the Cleveland Indians with a 7-2 victory in a game shortened to seven innings due to rain.
Martinez got off to a slow start this year after sitting out the entire 2012 season after having surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
The Tigers have won seven consecutive games against the Indians and are 14-3 against them this season.
