CLEVELAND -- Shane "Rover" French of "Rover's Morning Glory" on 100.7 WMMS spoke for more than four minutes Monday morning about his arrest that took place early July 5.
His comments about the allegations against himself and co-host Michael "Chocolate Charlie" Toomey came shortly after 7:30 a.m. as he solely addressed his listeners.

Here is what he had to say:

A lot of people know, over the past few days because of all the media reports, that "Chocolate Charlie" and I were arrested Friday morning. I can't get into a whole lot of detail about this, of course, because of the pending charges and that kind of stuff. I can't get into any of the factual details. I can't tell you my side of the story at this point. But trust me when I say, that will come out very very soon.
To be honest, I don't have a prepared statement or anything, but I will say this: The allegations are absolutely absurd, ridiculous and not based in fact whatsoever. In fact, if these charges weren't so serious, it would be comical. But it is very serious and I'm taking the matter very seriously.
As soon as I'm able to talk about it more, I will.
I know it's difficult. People form opinions after you hear one side of the story or after an initial report. Human nature is to say, "Well, OK, that must have been the way that things went down." But I will urge you to resist that temptation until all the facts are out there.
My attorneys have interviewed every single eyewitness to these events. They are in possession of surveillance video of these events. I will tell you with 100 percent certainty that when all of these facts are brought to light that I will prevail in this matter and the truth will come out. After that happens, I will take steps to make sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else.
I would love to get into more detail, I would love to give my side of the story -- but unfortunately I can't. But I think you may hear my side of the story much sooner than you are counting on and I will try to do that as quickly as possible.
But let me just say, in as strong of terms as possible, that these allegations are 100 percent false. They will be proven -- with an underline -- proven to be 100 percent false. I eagerly await that opportunity.
I know a lot of people will form an opinion and I just want you to be on the right side of the facts so that you don't have to call and apologize to me in the future and say, "You know what, Rover? You were right. I didn't trust you, I didn't believe you."
In all seriousness, it is a very very serious matter and I will treat it as such. It is no laughing matter. It's not a joking matter. I know we joke around a lot on the show, but this is serious stuff. This is no joke. It will be treated as such.
So there you go, that's all I can really say about it at this point.

After those statements, French said he has only watched one local media report to see how the coverage was handled.
Toomey, the other arrested with French, was also in the studio Monday morning and chimed in as they discussed their court appearance from Saturday while talking about a video posted here on WKYC.com (WATCH it here).
"If there's any silver lining in this situation, it's that perhaps one of the greatest pieces of videotape ever filmed in the history of mankind was filmed at our court proceeding Saturday morning," French said.
In the video, a man is seen in court seated behind the two local radio stars picking his nose.
"And then he eats it!" the morning crew laughed on air as they watched the video in the studio.
