Heavy rains flood roads, complicate morning commute

CLEVELAND -- Heavy rains passing through Northeast Ohio are flooding roadways and making rush hour a real challenge for commuters.

Major delays popped up on I-480 East at Northfield Road when a truck spun out into a wall just before 7 a.m. Several other such accidents, including spinouts, cars off the road and collisions have been constantly challenging local police departments this morning.

Reports of flooding creeks and rivers have also caused problems across the region.

Downed limbs and lighting strikes have also been reported.

Another round of thunderstorms are expected later today before things finally dry out and steady sunshine returns to the forecast.
