It is starting to feel like we just can't catch a break.
We see a peek of sun, we get a downpour. We have a couple dry moments in between showers, we get a deluge from a storm.
I wish I had better news to share, but unfortunately it looks like we are still very much stuck in this same pattern we've been in.
Not only that, but areas along and west of I-71 (includes Cuyahoga County) have an active FLASH FLOOD WATCH because heavy rain is possible. With already saturated ground and more moisture pouring in, water may rise quickly in some areas. Keep an eye on your sump pump!!!
As of now, the hotter temps are still on track for early next week, but finally (FINALLY!) we may be seeing an end to our soggy pattern in sight.
As the pattern begins to shift, a cold front will sweep in Wednesday night and bring drier air back to northern Ohio for Thursday. It is a long way off, but at least there is something to give us hope!
FLASH FLOOD WATCH (thru 6 PM Friday): Cuyahoga, Medina, Lorain, Ashland, Erie, Huron, and Richland counties
Friday: Morning Rain, becoming more scattered in the afternoon. Warm & Steamy. High: 82. Wind: S-W 5-10 mph.
Friday Night: Cloudy, Warm & Muggy with a few scattered showers. Low: 71. Wind: SW 10-15 mph.
Saturday: Cloudy, Hot & Humid with scattered showers & storms, mainly in the afternoon. High: 85. Wind: South 5-10 mph.
Saturday Night: Scattered showers & Storms. Muggy. Low: 70. Wind: SW 5-10 mph.
Sunday: More of the same: Steamy & Stormy!! High: 83. Wind: SW 5-10 mph.
Monday: Mostly Cloudy with scattered rain and storms likely. High: 86.
Tuesday: Mostly Cloudy, Hot & Humid with scattered Thunderstorms. High: 85.
Wednesday: Rain & Storms likely with the arrival of a Cold Front. High: 84.
Thursday: Partly Sunny, Cooler & Drier. High: 79.
