SOLON - A section of Miles Road in Solon is closed after a water main ruptured Friday afternoon.

It happened right in front of Miles Market at 2:30 p.m.

Police tell WKYC that they have blocked the area off beginning at Harper Road all the way to Brainard Road.

The Cleveland Division of Water's John Goersmeyer says the a 12-inch water main has been repaired and water will soon be restored to nearby Solon and Orange Village businesses and part of a condominium complex in Orange Village without water.

There is NO boil alert for the area but when the water is turned back on, it may be discolored. Residents and businesses should let their water run when it is turned back on.
