CLEVELAND -- Following an investigation of the Cleveland Police Sex Crimes Unit that began back in June, a student registered nurse anesthetist has been indicted for two felony counts of gross sexual imposition.
James Lewis, 28, will be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. April 2.
Lewis is accused of putting his hand on the woman's breast and then taking her hand and putting her hand on his genitals as the woman patient was being prepped for giving birth.
The patient then alerted others in the room and Lewis was escorted from the room.
When the investigation began in June, hospital officials ordered Lewis to stay off hospital property until the investigation was complete.
Fairview Hospital is operated by the Cleveland Clinic and it fully cooperated in the investigation.
