Elderly woman dies in east side house fire

CLEVELAND -- An elderly woman died in a house fire at E. 99 and Nelson early Thursday morning.

Fire officials believe the fire may have started by space heaters in the woman's bedroom.

Relatives tried to rescue her but their effort was futile.

Two other people from the house were taken to the hospital.

The Red Cross was also called to assist people forced out by the fire.
