WKYC Web StaffWILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio -- An 18-year-old woman is suspected of stabbing her foster mother in their Willoughby Hills home early Friday morning.
Police were called to a home on Chagrin Drive shortly after 1:15 a.m. for a report of a woman attacked.
When police arrived, the 13-year-old girl who called police ran out to meet them.
Police entered the home and found Sabrina Zurich, 18, covered in blood and holding a knife, police said.
Zurich was detained and taken to Lake West Hospital. She is considered a suspect in the investigation.
Officers then found Lisa Knoefel, 41, in the first floor master bedroom with several stab wounds. EMS crews were unable to resuscitate her and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no word on if any arrests have been made.
