As cities in Northeast Ohio recover from Superstorm Sandy, shelters are being opened to help those impacted by long term power outages.

More than 100,000 people are still without power in Northeast Ohio following the storm.  It could be the end of the weekend before power is fully restored for some-or longer.

Below is a list of shelters and warming centers as compiled by Channel 3 as well as contact numbers for those needing help.

The American Red Cross and Salvation Army have partnered together and have opened emergency shelters to help those in need due to the power outages throughout the county.  The shelters offer those without power a place to get a hot meal, charge their cell phone and a warm place to sleep overnight.

Anyone using the shelters should pack enough items to cover the next 24 to 48 hours, bring any needed medications and provide personal and medical contacts.  No pets.
